Pickleball got its start in the 1960s on Bainbridge Island. It combines aspects of badminton and tennis. Pickleball court surfacing is typically the same as basketball or tennis courts. The surface is non-slip so that it can be played on whether it is wet or dry.
Make Sure You Have the Room
Like any other court, you need to make sure you have plenty of room for the installation. Both a badminton and pickleball court require the same space, 20’ x 44’. Plan for an area of 34’ x 64’ when everything is done.
